This special episode focuses on the value of community ownership in establishing just, equitable, and sustainable communities as organizers continue to navigate the disparities, individualism, and power struggles of capitalism and colonialism.
Published as a part of Duke University’s Wellbeing Economic class, this episode brings in expertise and experiences from environmental justice advocates Amara Ifeji and William Barber III as well as the Indigenous democratic and social models of Oaxaca, Mexico as a case study for people-conscious, climate-conscious living.
